This postgraduate teaching department is well staffed and equipped to deal with most neonatal and paediatric illnesses.

A state-of-the-art Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and New born Intensive Care Unit with ventilator facilities are available. Emergency services are offered 24 hours a day.

Adequate numbers of warmers, phototherapy units and incubators, together with facilities for central oxygen and suction, cater to common neonatal problems. Immunization, enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy and exchange transfusion services are provided.

A unique subspeciality of the department is its paediatric gastroenterology unit with video endoscopy aided diagnostic and therapeutic facilities.
