The department of Radiology has state-of-the-art technology at its access to cater to wide variety of clinical problems requiring imaging services. Apart from sophisticated digital X ray plant, high end ultrasound, computer tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging facilities are also available. Portable X ray, ultrasound and colour doppler units cater to the needs of the critically ill patients in the wards, trauma centres and intensive care units. The department performs a full spectrum of vascular and nonvascular procedures in adult and pediatric populations. Included among these are diagnostic angiography , percutaneous angioplasty and stenting , embolization therapy, thrombolysis, biliary and renal interventions, and vascular access.

Several interdepartmental and intradepartmental conferences are held. These include radiology department teaching conferences, neuropathology correlation conferences, neuromedicine and neurosurgery clinical conferences.
